Teréga

Committed actor

As a major actor in gas transport and storage infrastructures, Teréga is committed alongside its stakeholders to creating energy ecosystems with a smaller environmental footprint. The Group acts to create a sustainable model that combines economic performance with social utility and environmental frugality, with a desire to pursue the development of infrastructures that can accept renewable and low-carbon gases now and in the future. To this end, the Group is working to be recognised for its ESG practices and as a benchmark actor in the energy sector, supporting the energy transition in the territories toward carbon neutrality.

Ambition RSE 2024

CSR ambition

Affirming its position as a leading actor and playing its part in France’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050: this is the challenge Teréga has set for itself. It has been mapping out its route toward that target for a number of years with the rollout of a programme of commitments and actions carrying the whole business toward a responsible and sustainable model.

Environmental responsibility

Teréga’s environmental responsibility is embodied in its Be Positif programme, which deploys organisational actions aligned with European and French decarbonisation targets, such as lowering emissions of greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide and methane. By bringing in this programme, which covers all Teréga’s environmental issues, the Group is pursuing its efforts to reduce its direct and indirect impacts, and is committing itself to help bring about France’s carbon neutrality by 2050, meeting the targets set in the Paris Agreement.

Social and territorial responsibility

PARI 2025 and Energiz Mouv are the two programmes that encompass the Group’s social and territorial responsibility. Through PARI 2025, Teréga concentrates on the safety of persons, plant and their environment, the target being: “Zero accidents, zero snags and zero surprises.” At the social level, the Energiz Mouv programme supports a drive for inclusivity, gender equality and employee engagement. At the territorial level, it supports economic and industrial actors in the territory.

Teréga’s responsible governance

Responsible governance

Teréga’s CSR principles are based on complete transparency, which encourages employees and stakeholders to demonstrate integrity when it comes to the social, environmental, economic and ethical impacts of their activities. Thus the Group’s governance rests on three fundamental pillars, which are: ethical conduct as a guarantor of sustainability, robust organisation to support its strategy, and good management of its relationships with suppliers through responsible procurement practices.
