The Teréga Accélérateur d’énergies endowment fund supports philanthropic projects of common interest. Those projects contribute to the harmonious economic and social development of our regions, showing respect for people and their environment.
The Teréga Accélérateur d’Énergies endowment fund is a fully independent not-for-profit patronage arrangement. Its aim is to lead or finance actions of common interest in the fields of culture, science, sport, education, humanitarian and social action, taking advantage of the talents and assets to be found in the regions. The endowment fund may itself be the originator of initiatives, or it may support those being led by associations. Those actions, which are in tune with Teréga’s values, are an extension of our corporate and environmental commitment to the regions.
Teréga Accélérateur d’Énergies supports talent and initiatives at work within the regions in four action areas:
supporting the economic and social development of the far south-west,
protecting biodiversity,
encouraging social inclusion,
promoting and sharing French scientific and cultural heritage.
Teréga Accélérateur d’Énergies supports activity-creating projects which have a direct effect on improving social life. In particular it finances actions to modernise the craft and tourist industries to reinvigorate local employment. Teréga Accélérateur d’Énergies also contributes to making the most of the talent and initiatives at work in the south-west, particularly through the Lignes essentielles publication, which aims to highlight local figures reinventing their region.
Teréga Accélérateur d’Énergies supports original projects which encourage greater respect for the balance of nature. It develops and encourages actions to protect and develop biodiversity, alongside the Conservatoire des Espaces Naturels d’Aquitaine et de Midi-Pyrénées (CEN, a natural area conservation project) and the Conservatoire Végétal Régional d’Aquitaine (CVRA, a regional plant conservation project). It is also involved in work to educate people, such as the “Water Family – From snowflake to wave” project, which aims to make businesses and young people aware of the importance of managing water with respect.
Teréga Accélérateur d’Énergies is committed to promoting diversity and equality of opportunity. It is involved in the creation and development of action plans in education and training, professional integration and entrepreneurship. It supports initiatives around the integration of people for whom employment opportunities are far away and the inclusion of disabled people. In particular, it finances inclusion projects using digital technologies and integration through training.
Teréga Accélérateur d'Énergies is a partner of:
the Clubs Régionaux Partenaires d’Entreprises (CREPI, Regional Business Partner Clubs), which encourage access to employment and business creation in high-priority districts,
associations belonging to the Élan Béarnais, a basketball club working to achieve inclusion through sport,
Billère HandBall, for which it supports the training centre for promising young handball players, and the Handensemble team which brings together players with mental disabilities.
