Teréga is committed to making the improvement of working conditions and professional development a priority in order to unleash the energy and innovative spirit of its employees. The aim is to unite them in a common objective: accelerate the energy transition.
Beyond simple questions of safety and physical and mental health, quality of life and working conditions (QVCT) is a genuine organisational issue for Teréga. It builds up a physical and relational environment where individual well-being contributes to collective success, in a cooperative and cross-disciplinary approach.
At Teréga, QVCT is expressed through four areas of commitment:
promoting job satisfaction
Against a backdrop of major changes in jobs in the energy transition, the Group is implementing tangible actions to improve its employees’ working conditions, develop their skills and secure their career paths in line with their aspirations. Teréga also encourages a personal and work life balance, with the option, for example, of benefiting from remote working days or raising awareness about the “right to disconnect”. Our Capital Forme programme (see blow) also encourages physical, mental and social wellbeing.
Capitalising on the involvement of employees
The energy deployed by each employee contributes to making Teréga a key player in the energy transition. Recognising the work accomplished, valuing skills and areas of expertise, or encouraging initiatives and innovations are all assets that foster collective success. The Teréga intrapreneurship programme, initiated in 2023, enables support for 11 projects over a number of months, with the aim of commercialising one or more solutions on behalf of the Group.
striving to be a responsible company
As a responsible employer, the Group is committed to ensuring diversity and equal opportunity. As we are deeply involved in the life of the territories, Teréga gives its employees the opportunity to get involved in activities that create social ties, to make commitment to others a strong value of cohesion such as the citizenship day (see below).
transforming change into opportunity
The energy transition is profoundly transforming the energy sectors. Teréga supports its employees in these changes by promoting their personal and professional development in a caring environment.
These four main areas encourage engagement among employees, which is assessed every 2 years. In 2023, the Teréga’s score on the engagement barometer was 7.4/10, compared with a national benchmark of 6.9/10.
Conceived in partnership with the performance unit of Elan Béarnais, a basketball club in Pau, Capital Forme is a programme that aims to develop the physical, mental and social wellbeing of Teréga employees:
A programme of physical activities, led by professional coaches, offers different discovery activities such as yoga, Pilates or Tai Chi sessions, strength training, Do-In etc. In addition, videos showing stretching exercises that can be done at the workstation or the provision of relaxation chairs on Teréga’s main site allow each individual to achieve physical wellbeing.
Conferences and workshops in small groups to learn how to manage your time, stress and mental load etc.
Participation in group sporting activities such as the European Business Games (50 employees involved in the 2023 games) or relay races (involvement in the Ekiden de Pau and the Tour du Béarn).
Capital Forme also supports the organisation of cultural and social events: workshops, drama, choir, chess etc.
In December 2023, Teréga organised its first citizenship day as an extension of its CSR commitment. This day was organised on a voluntary basis, aimed at all Group employees.
70 workers came together around community-based and environmental activities:
an eco-responsible litter picking initiative alongside the Trail Runner Foundation association and the city of Pau, Capitale Humaine.
wrapping of Christmas presents and the writing of greetings cards for residents of the OGFA Foyers Amitié association.
Alongside these activities, a community-based initiative was led across all sites to collect clothing, accessories and food. The gifts received were then given to Secours Populaire Français, OGFA Foyers Amitié and La Cravate Solidaire.
