What are NOx?

NOx refers to nitrogen oxides emitted by the burning of fossil fuels.

NOx incorporate different nitrogen oxides: nitrogen monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and nitrous oxide. These oxygen and nitrogen chemical composites are atmospheric pollutants that greatly contribute to greenhouse gas emissions.

Mobility is a major source of NOx emissions, which is why it is governed by European emission standards. Less pollutant mobility solutions than fossil fuels exist, such as bioNGV, of which the NOx emissions are less than half the Euro VI standard.
