BioNGV is a renewable version of NGV (Natural Gas for Vehicles) that uses biomethane instead of natural gas (fossil fuel).
Today 40% of French CO₂ emissions come from mobility. BioNGV therefore appears to be a key solution if France is to align itself with the European Fit for 55 strategy, which aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
BioNGV has many advantages for its users:
Less pollution and CO₂ emissions
Less loss when filling the tank
Less noise and greater autonomy with unrestricted circulation
Increasing local availability
Biomethane, whose production processes are multiplying, is enabling bioNGV to grow. As an accelerator of the energy transition, Teréga ensures the creation and availability of refuelling stations to encourage the development of this low-carbon mobility.
