With 125 expressions of interest and 61 projects/needs identified, this initiative confirm a strong interest both in terms of low-carbon hydrogen and carbon dioxyde recovery and capture. The results show that all the stakeholders in the sector’s value chain are mobilising, highlighting the significance of a a public hydrogen transport grid. For the CCUS sector, the results confirm that the architecture envisaged for the future transport and storage infrastructures reflect the territory’s decarbonisation needs.
Concerning the upcoming steps, Teréga is expected to submit applications for PCI status in order to obtain subsidies. At the same time, preliminary technical feasibility studies and economic and environmental impact assessments will be initiated for projects whose need has been confirmed following the CEI.
