Teréga Open Pau-Pyrénées: the seventh edition will be held from 16 to 23 February 2025

After a sixth act that saw the Finnish Otto Virtanen crowned champion at the end of a week that drew more than 25,000 spectators, the Teréga Open Pau-Pyrénées will return to the Palais des Sports in Pau from 16 to 23 February 2025.

Created in 2019 under the impetus of former professional tennis player Jérémy Chardy, who is the tournament director, the Teréga Open Pau-Pyrénées is an international men's tennis tournament in the ATP Challenger 125 category. It brings together professional players ranked 50th and above in the world, all in search of valuable ATP points.

The ATP Challenger circuit is a must for young up-and-coming players, as well as established players looking to return to the pinnacle of world tennis. Big names such as Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Gilles Simon and Lucas Pouille, all former top 10 players, have played on the courts in Béarn, as have the promising Holger Rune (ranked 14th in the world) and the two current top French players Ugo Humbert (ranked 18th) and Arthur Fils (ranked 24th).

The Palais des Sports in Pau, transformed into a tennis venue, will once again be hosting this top-level competition, which is now firmly established at the heart of the European tour after Montpellier (ATP 250), Rotterdam (ATP 500) and Marseille (ATP 250). More than just a tennis tournament, the Teréga Open Pau-Pyrénées is also designed to be a place where the general public, institutions and the private sector can share and enjoy each other's company, and there will be plenty of events dedicated to them throughout the week.

The tournament kicks off on Sunday 16 February with the singles qualifiers, pitting players against each other in a bid to secure a precious berth in the main draw. Throughout the week, singles and doubles matches will be played at the Palais des Sports and the Tennis Club de Pau. The successor to Bublik, Gulbis, Albot, Halys, Van Assche and Virtanen will be known at the end of the final on Sunday 23 February.
