Teréga Open Pau-Pyrénées: the seventh edition will run from 16 to 23 February 2025

Following the sixth Teréga Open Pau-Pyrénées, which drew in more than 25,000 people over the course of the week and saw Finnish player Otto Virtanen claiming the crown, the event returns to the Palais des Sports in Pau from 16 to 23 February 2025.

Created in 2019 at the instigation of former professional tennis player Jérémy Chardy, now its Director, the Teréga Open Pau-Pyrénées is one of the ATP Challenger 125 international men’s tennis tournaments. It brings together professional players ranked up to 50th in the world, all seeking valuable ATP points.

The ATP Challenger circuit is a must for aspiring young players, as well as experienced players looking to work their way up to the top of world tennis. This is how big names such as Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Gilles Simon and Lucas Pouille, all three former occupants of top ten places, have graced the courts of Béarn, just like the promising Holger Rune (world number 14), or France’s best two current players Ugo Humbert (18th) and Arthur Fils (24th).

The Palais des Sports de Pau, transformed into a tennis venue for the event, will once again host this very high-level competition, now firmly anchored in the heart of the European tour after Montpellier (ATP 250), Rotterdam (ATP 500) and Marseille (ATP 250). More than just a tennis tournament, the Teréga Open Pau-Pyrénées also sees itself as a place for the general public, the institutional world and the private sector to meet and share experiences: many
meetings will be dedicated to them and will be held over the week.

The tournament will start on Sunday 16 February with the singles qualifiers, lining up players who are all driven by the desire to win themselves a valuable place at the game’s top table. Throughout the week, singles and doubles matches will be played at the Palais des Sports and the Tennis Club de Pau. The successor to Bublik, Gulbis, Albot, Halys, Van Assche and Virtanen will be known by the end of the final, scheduled for Sunday 23 February.
