Teréga partners the Boxers de Bordeaux for the 2024/2025 season

Teréga, the historic operator of gas transport and storage infrastructure in the south-west of France, is delighted to announce its partnership with Boxers de Bordeaux, the emblematic ice hockey team of the Synerglace Ligue Magnus, for the 2024/2025 season.

“We are proud to be associated with Boxers de Bordeaux, a team that perfectly embodies the values of surpassing oneself and cohesion that we share at Teréga. This partnership is part of our approach to supporting local initiatives and promoting sport as a vehicle for social cohesion and regional dynamism” Dominique Mockly, Chairman and CEO of Teréga

Since winning the French Division 1 title in 2015, the Boxers have been playing in France’s hockey elite. Based in the heart of Bordeaux, at the Mériadeck ice rink, the Boxers embody a spirit of competition, commitment and conviviality. This legendary venue, a real fans’ stronghold, is brought to life by "Boxy", the iconic mascot who delights families at every match.

This partnership adds to Teréga’s long sporting tradition, and the company is already involved in a number of prestigious partnerships, including:

  • Section Paloise Béarn Pyrénées, a rugby club playing in the TOP 14, and partner since 2016;

  • The Teréga Open Pau-Pyrénées, an international tennis tournament on the professional Challenger circuit since 2019;

  • The Tour Féminin International des Pyrénées, a women’s cycling competition highlighting women’s sport since 2022;

  • Ahmed Andaloussi, paratriathlete, whom the gas operator accompanied in the spring of 2024;

  • The Vendée Globe 2024, for which Teréga is providing an innovative carbon-free power supply solution for the Vendée Globe Village, using green hydrogen as a clean energy source.

"The arrival of Teréga as one of our partners is excellent news for the club. Their commitment to us shows the confidence they have in our sporting project and their desire to contribute to the development of ice hockey in the region," added Thierry Parienty, Chairman of the Boxers de Bordeaux

With this partnership, Teréga is strengthening its commitment to regional development, while celebrating the shared values of performance, responsibility and innovation that unite the worlds of sport and business.
